Published Dec 10, 2010In a similar vein to that awesome, interactive video for the Arcade Fire's "We Used to Wait," Japanese folk rock group Sour have taken things a step further with their browser-based clip for the song "Mirror."
Using Chrome or Safari (Firefox is not recommended), users sign into their Facebook and Twitter accounts through a micro site set up by the band and allow the application to connect with their webcam, then the video unfolds as a highly personal experience. Even if you're too cool to have a social networking account, the vid still works.
Rather than give away the full story, check out Sour's "Mirror" video here. Even if Japanese folk rock doesn't sound like your thing, this clip is a glimpse into the future of the Internet.
