The Sounds Line Up New Album, Massive North American Tour

BY Brock ThiessenPublished Apr 3, 2009

Three years after Dying to Say This to You, sexed-up new wave rockers the Sounds have lined up a new album, as well as quite the extensive North American tour.

The Swedes have named their new one Crossing the Rubicon and are releasing it in the U.S. and Canada on June 2 via Original Signal Recordings. If you want to listen to the PR, the record "continues to deliver hook-filled songs full of the punch and swagger that helped bring the Swedish quintet from Helsingborg to the world," and "presents a deeper version of the sound" they brought us the last time 'round.

And while that June 2 release date may feel a ways off, the band will been giving a live preview of what they have cooked up during their upcoming tour, which finds the Sounds in Toronto on April 28 and Montreal on 29. The group also have stops in Europe and in the U.S., where they have several headlining dates scheduled and some supporting No Doubt.
