Soundgarden Announce Summer Tour Dates, Play Toronto

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Apr 14, 2011

We've been itching to see the reformed Soundgarden for quite some time now. It's been over a year since the band announced they were getting back together, then there was that newly released concert album Live on I5 stoking our interest, not to mention the suggestion that the grunge gods are prepping a disc of new material. It's enough to drive you insane. For some of us, the dream is about to become real: Soundgarden have announced some summer tour dates.

The band recently revealed a short string of dates, four to be exact, that will likely find them still louder than love. For Canuck fans, the group will be performing at Toronto's Molson Canadian Amphitheatre. Tickets go on sale April 23 at 10 a.m. for the reserved-seating show, but fanclub members can nab some early bird, pre-sale seats next Monday (April 18). Make sure you have a buddy to go with, tickets will only be sold in pairs.

If you can't make your way to the T-Dot, you can always catch Chris Cornell bangin' out a couple of classics on his current acoustic songbook tour. It might not be the same to hear "Rusty Cage" sandwiched between some of his supremely shitty Scream songs, but some would argue it's better than nothing.

Tour dates:

7/2 Toronto, ON - Molson Canadian Amphitheatre

7/13 Philadelphia, PA - Festival Pier at Penn's Landing

7/18 Morrison, CO - Red Rocks Amphitheatre

7/22 Los Angeles, CA - The Forum
