Soulless Agony's Lament

Who would have thought that some of the best Germanic thrash of 2003 would come from Parma, Ohio? Not me, but Soulless have opened these eyes with their highly redundant but totally respectable and immensely enjoyable old school thrash attack. There’s no way to get through a review of Soulless without mentioning Kreator, but there’s also slight shades of another retro thrash movement, namely the Swedish folk and their razor-sharp melodic riffing and death metal influences. But at the end of the day, these descriptions don’t really matter because Soulless shred like pros, have the spirit of metal firmly embedded in their hearts and seem to be impressing everyone who hears them.
