Someday I Look Up and Live

It's somehow fitting that Somehow I hail from Colorado. With California and Missouri just two states away in either direction, it seems that location may have more to do with their sound than they know. Drawing on the drop-tuned gut rock of St. Louis bands like Hum and Guilt, and the emotional SoCal pop punk of Big Drill Car and Face to Face, this 12-track gem is an amazing amalgam of two fairly diverse sounds. The music is heavy (thanks in large part to the talents of Blasting Room house engineer Jason Livermore) when it needs to be, and more controlled when the songs call for it. And with a keen appreciation for different tempos and time signatures it's always interesting too. A fitting addition to the O&O roster, which already includes such rock monsters as Wretch Like Me and Tanger. (Owned and Operated)
