Solids

"Haze Away" on Exclaim! TV

BY Roberto Granados-OconPublished Mar 4, 2014

Montreal-based alt-rock duo Solids wear their love of 1990s indie rock proudly on their sleeve, having perfectly captured the blend of melody and distortion that defined the decade on their debut full-length, Blame Confusion.

Passing through Toronto while on tour, the band stopped by 3030 Dundas West to perform "Haze Away" from their recently released LP.

Performing with nothing more than a guitar, drums and (presumably) a whole bunch of Big Muff pedals, watch as guitarist Xavier Germain-Poitras and drummer Louis Guillemette harmonize over top of the band's hearty riffs and pounding drums, before getting a little math-y as the song comes to a close.

Catch the band live as they tour around the country into late March, which includes a stop next Thursday (March 13) at M for Montreal's annual SXSW concert and poutine party.
