Solange Knowles just served up a Kendrick Lamar-assisted remix of True track "Looks Good With Trouble," but now the R&B singer has announced even bigger news that she's started up her own label Saint Records, which will fall under the Sony Music umbrella.

The news was confirmed by the singer on her Twitter account, with her message explaining that from here on out, she'll be delivering her music and "other projects" through the newly formed, Sony-backed side-label.

"Through Saint Records I will have 100% creative/artistic control & continue to passionately pursue my footing in this new musical movement," she wrote.

Billboard reports that sources close to the singer say a full-length will arrive later this year, though it will apparently mix new tunes with selections from True, which was issued last year through Grizzly Bear member Chris Taylor's Terrible Records.

The move brings Knowles back to the majors, having previously issued LPs for Geffen and Columbia, and also brings her to the same stable as older sister Beyoncé.
