SoHo Ghetto Unveil 'Thou or I or Both' Album

Halifax-based singer-songwriter Marc-Antoine Robertson was born in Quebec and lived in Paris before settling into his Maritime home. Those experiences, along with a love of soundtracks, come together on his debut album as SoHo Ghetto.

The band's debut album is called Thou or I or Both, and will be self-released by the group. It was recorded by Daniel Ledwell, who has previously worked with Jenn Grant.

Those looking for an explanation of the band's sound should note that a press release uses words like "grandiosity" and "epic," adding that the band's "brand of urbanity is nostalgic, angst-driven pop, bathed in the purple and pink studio lights of the early days of music video television. You'll air guitar to solos inspired by teen break-ups, you'll rock your feathered hair to glorious drum machines and casio keyboards."

If you'd like to understand what that means for yourself, you can stream a radio edit of their debut single "One at a Time" below. Thou or I or Both will arrive on August 26 and will be followed by a handful of tour dates, which you can see below.

Tour dates:

09/17-21 Montreal, QC - Pop Montreal
09/26 Halifax, NS - The Seahorse
09/27 Sydney, NS - The Fox Den
10/03 Fredericton, NB - The Capital
10/04 Moncton, NB - Plan B
