SOHN Signs to 4AD, Lines Up "Bloodflows" 12-inch

Vienna-based R&B experimenter SOHN caught the attention of many when he issued his tender "Bloodflows" single online last year. Some of those fans include the esteemed 4AD imprint, who will now release the song as a 12-inch single in June.

A press release confirms that the London-bred artist is now part of the 4AD family, with the label praising how he "blends his haunting vocals with a backdrop of analogue drum machines and synths, which makes nods to the past, but always forges forward into the new." The low-key sensualism could appeal to fans of James Blake, Jessie Ware or Rhye.

Apparently an album is already in the works, but specifics on the set are scant. You can, however, check out "Bloodflows" and four more tracks put together by the nouveau soulsmith over on SoundCloud.

A full tracklisting for the "Bloodflows" single has yet to be unveiled, but you can check out the new video for the minimalist slice of synth-driven romanticism in the player down below. The clip was directed by Italian artist Christian Pitschl in the Bavarian Alps between Germany and Austria, and it utilizes idyllic mountain and forest backdrops to frame actress Nadja Langer.
