S.O.D./Yellow Machinegun

S.O.D. are back and don't disappoint with their hilarious Slayer parody, "Seasoning the Obese." Billy Milano sounds quite serious when he sings such lines as "the apple in my eye is the apple in your mouth" and he even lets loose an Araya-like shriek a couple times. Hilarious. Their last CD was a letdown, but in small doses like this S.O.D. are still entertaining. Yellow Machinegun gives us two tracks of fairly straight-ahead hardcore with a heavy sound and emotional lyrics. American silly-core meets Japanese emo-metal. Woah.
