Toronto-based electro duo Snowday kept it cool last summer — literally by touring the country in a "glorified ice cream van" and a bit more figuratively with the release of their Evoke EP. Now, they're ready to add some gloom to the scorching hot summer months with a new clip for "Her Day Ended Slowly."
The track appeared on the aforementioned EP, and the visuals arrive courtesy of director and editor Dan Kaufman. The video stars Sophia Wilson, opening with the young woman standing on a condo balcony with a cigarette. As the slow-burning melancholy of the song builds, we watch her slog through her day, wandering out of the apartment, through the city streets and eventually into a river, lost in dark thoughts. The video is as solemn, contemplative and sad as the accompanying music.
