Snowblink Sign to Arts & Crafts for Sophomore Album

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Mar 19, 2012

Last year, Toronto-based indie outfit Snowblink issued their delicate and quiet debut Long Live through Ontario imprint Out of this Spark, but following that disc's acclaim, the group have announced a new partnership with the celebrated Arts & Crafts label.

Details are scant at this point, but Snowblink will deliver their as-yet-untitled sophomore set sometime this year through Arts & Crafts. According to a press release, the LP was written and recorded by bandmates Daniela Gesundheit and Dan Goldman in Toronto, Montreal and Los Angeles with producer Chris Stringer (Ohbijou) and Mark Lawson (Arcade Fire), who mixed the record.

While Long Live featured guest appearances from members of Deerhoof, Dirty Projectors and Vetiver, it's unclear if any additional musicians took part in the new recording sessions. Arts & Crafts hints that all will be revealed in the coming weeks, though.

Meanwhile, Snowblink will be performing at Arts & Crafts' Canadian Music Fest showcase this Friday (March 23) at the Horseshoe Tavern this Friday (March 23), along with the Darcys and Zeus.
