Snoop Dog's television presence is set to sky rocket, as the rapper has landed a cartoon on Comedy Central that aims to recreate his life as a teen growing up in Long Beach, California in the 1980s, according to Variety.

"We've been looking to get into business with Snoop, who's always fantastic on our roasts," Comedy Central original programming development President Lauren Corrao said. "He's one of those people who truly crosses over between music and comedy."

The show is among a group of new shows being produced by actors like David Alan Grier, Andy Richter and Adam Sandler. The show has yet to be titled and will likely receive one shortly.

If both a cartoon and to his reality TV show Snoop Dogg's Fatherhood isn't enough, Snoop is also looking to bring some street cred to housewife favourite One Life to Live by appearing in an extended cameo on the ABC soap opera. In addition, he will perform "Sensual Seduction" (no, not "Sexual Eruption”) and "Life of Da Party" from his recent album Ego Trippin'. His affect on the daytime show won't end there as he is also remixing the theme song.

"My momma always had it on the tube in tha crib growing up. The opportunity to change up the theme song and give it some of my flavour will make the show the life of the party," said Snoop about the opportunity.
