Smoking Popes

The Smoking Popes never caught my attention in the first few years of their existence and their jump to the majors in the post-Green Day "punk revival" lessened my interest. So now they're gone and here is a posthumous live record collecting material from their eight-year existence. The music is melodic with a singer who has aspirations to be Morrissey. It's the vocals that add a wishy-washy element to this, often seeming out of place with the music, especially on the heavier songs.
