Austin sound artist Smokey Emery (a.k.a. Daniel Hipólito) is making his presence known again, with the musician's Soundtracks for Invisibility Vol. III: Qui Mal y Pense set to be reissued as a limited-edition cassette this Tuesday (July 15) via Holodeck Records.

A press release for the ambient outing describes Hipólito's song cycle as a series of "meaningful vignettes of self-reflective audio journalism," with recording and mixing sessions having taken place between 2006 and 2010 in Austin and San Francisco.

Originally released digitally in 2011, the six-song effort features tape loops and various sonic manipulations. Down below, you'll find tracks like the '50s sci-fi film soundtrack-conjuring "01," the dejected, hypnotic six-string layering of "Afore," the epic and airy sound piece "05" and more.
