Sloan's Chris Murphy Reveals Hit-and-Run Scar on Twitter

Back in late July, we told you that Sloan bassist Chris Murphy had been injured in a serious hit-and-run incident involving a drunk driver. The injury left him unable to play bass at the recent Virgin Fest in Toronto, though our reviewer saw him in "high spirits" as he sang back-up vocals and played the tambourine.

Well, fans wondering about Murphy's status can get some details now that the band have posted an image of his injury on their Twitter. With the caption, "CMM's surgery souvenir. Warning: gross," the group posted an image of Murphy's scar that can be seen here. And seriously, Sloan aren't joking around about the "gross" bit.

At this point, we don't know how long it will be before Murphy can play the bass again, but police at least have the licence plate number and car model of the vehicle that struck him. They currently are looking into possible charges.
