Sleigh Bells Book First Headlining Tour, Play Toronto and Montreal

Brooklyn noise pop duo Sleigh Bells have already spent much of 2010 on the road, touring North America as an opener for big-name acts Major Lazer and Yeasayer. Now, with critics still buzzing following the May release of their debut full-length, Treats, Sleigh Bells are getting set to embark on a headlining tour of their own.

The band will spend July touring the eastern half of North America, an outing that includes two Canadian dates in Toronto and Montreal. According to Exclaim!'s review of their recent Toronto performance with Yeasayer, Sleigh Bells singer Alexis Krauss "had the confidence and allure of a tested front-person, exuding the sass of Karen O but with a cool elegance." This confidence will doubtless continue to grow once the band get some more headlining experience under their belts.

After Sleigh Bells wrap up in North America, they will head across the Atlantic to play a small handful of Scandinavian festivals in August. See the full dates below.
