Sleep Dig Up Rarities for 'Dopesmoker' Reissue on Third Man Records

It's the label's latest Vault subscription package

Stoner metal heroes Sleep are preparing to reissue their seminal album Dopesmoker in deluxe form via Third Man Records' Vault subscription series.

The expanded album is spread across four "green kush"-coloured vinyl records, including a version of the album remastered from the original tapes, alternate takes, the long-lost song "Hot Lava Man," and a custom etching. It uses the cover artwork from the 2012 reissue of the album.

The package also includes a 7-inch (containing a radio edit of "Dopesmoker" backed with "Proceeds the Weedian"), two posters (one of which is a "riff chart") and a woven patch.

Third Man will also reissue Dopesmoker as a standard double vinyl this summer. As for this Vault package, fans have until April 30 to sign up to receive a copy.

Previously, Third Man was the label home for Sleep's 2018 album The Sciences. In 2019, the label released Sleep's quadruple live album as a Vault package.
