Sleep ∞ Over

Austin is the last place you'd think that three-piece Sleep ∞ Over would reside; their gorgeous, ghostly presence is much more suited to Scandinavia or the Black Forest. The softness of lead vocalist and musical mastermind Stefanie Franciotti helped woo the crowd of sleepy-eyed internet nerds, with the project slowly delivering meticulously crafted lo-fi ecclesiastical dreamwave. There was something that felt appropriate about watching this group in a large, clinical art space like SAT, despite the multitudinous art installations. We all stood under the black lights willing to drink the Kool-Aid, to be taken away into Sleep ∞ Over's sirenic, drawn-out underworld forever.
