Sled Island has been slowly rolling out plans for their annual summer festival, teasing headliners, additional acts and film programming. Now, the full final lineup has arrived.
Freshly added to this year's event in Calgary are such acts as Kaytranada, ESG, Speedy Ortiz, the Besnard Lakes, Chris Lorenzo, HUMANS, Sinistarr, Valient Thorr, PEARS, Bell Witch, Fenster, B.A. Johnston, Avec Le Soleil Sortant De Sa Bouche, Bart, By Divine Right, L.A. Foster, Meganzer, Mitchmatic, the Switching Yard, Traces, Vulva Culture, WHOOP-Szo, Willie Thrasher & Linda Saddleback, Wilt, Chuurch, Gawker, Numenorean, L.T. Leif, Sinzere Sings and the Synthetiques.
This year's guest curator Peaches has also picked out a few more artists, adding Maluca, Lafawnduh and Born in Flamez to the roster.
They join previously announced musical performers like Guided By Voices, Deafheaven, the Sonics, Angel Olsen, Built to Spill, Julia Holter, Tortoise, Protomartyr, Psychic TV, HEALTH, Oneida, Suuns, the Seth Bogart Show, New Bomb Turks, Chastity Belt, TOPS, Land of Talk, Shotgun Jimmie, Duchess Says and Crosss, among others.
The comedy program will feature sets from Steph Tolev, Jeremy Carter, Cheryl Hann and more, while the film roster boasts screenings of Miss Sharon Jones, Desire Will Set You Free, Here Come the Videofreex, I Am the Blues, and EMOCEAN.
