You may remember that Sled Island and Scion Sessions having been teaming up the last couple of weeks to deliver a number of online tracks from numerous Calgary outfits to promote this year's festival and their local music scene. Now, the tag-team "Get to Know" program has unveiled details behind an upcoming 7-inch release featuring Lab Coast, Fist City and more.
The four-song record will be delivered sometime later this summer, with copies to be available "at culturally iconic locations throughout Calgary." The specific spots will be tweeted out at a later date.
While garage rock crew Fist City's recently revealed "Losers Never Die" is bouncing from the online series onto wax, fellow online contributors Lab Coast, Dominic Pierce and Mark Mills will have exclusive cuts for the record. You'll find a stream of all four songs from the 7-inch release down below.
The acts will also be gracing the stage of Calgary's Palomino later today (June 19) for a free "Get to Know" showcase, as part of the ongoing Sled Island festival.
