This year, Calgary's music, art and comedy festival Sled Island will celebrate its 10th edition. We've already seen the first batch of acts playing the fest, and today organizers have rolled out even more artists.
New York weird-rock gods Oneida have been added to the bill alongside Hunx and His Punx frontman Seth Bogart's new project the Seth Bogart Show. In addition, performers like together PANGEA, Chastity Belt, TOPS, Land of Talk, Circuit des Yeux, Crosss, JOOKLO ZAPPA (featuring Frank Zappa's nephew Stanley) and Shotgun Jimmie have all been added to the bill.
Guest curator Peaches has also announced a handful of her choices for the fest, including Planningtorock, Cakes da Killa, Junglepussy, TT the Artist, Hyenaz and Vice Cooler.
The list continues with acts like Astral Gunk, BLANKA, Davachi/Smith, Feed Dogs, Fountain, the Highest Order, HSY, Johnny De Courcy, Marlaena Moore, Máscaras, Partner, Shearing Pinx, Sightlines, Yes We Mystic, Zad Kokar, Blu Shorts, Crack Cloud, Form, Lab Coast, Numenorean, PMMA and Slo Dance.
These recently announced performers join the first wave of artists, which include Guided By Voices, Suuns, Deafheaven, Angel Olsen, the Sonics, Julia Holter, HEALTH, Tortoise, Protomartyr, Psychic TV, Dawn of Midi, New Bomb Turks, Radioactivity and Duchess Says.
