Sled Island Adds Tim Hecker, Craig Finn, Reigning Sound, How to Dress Well to 2012 Lineup
Back in February, Sled Island announced a number of headlining acts who would be stopping by the Calgary event this June 20 to 23, including Feist, Grimes, Stephen Malkmus & the Jicks and Archers of Loaf. With the top-shelf acts now out of the way, the festival has now announced even more artists to fill out the four-day schedule.

Among the newly announced artists for Sled Island 2012 are ambient Canadian soundsmith Tim Hecker, prog-pop purveyors Yamantaka//Sonic Titan, Craig Finn (whose Hold Steady are also playing) and noir & B act How to Dress Well, along with Reigning Sound, Doldrums, Willis Earl Beal and Duchess Says.

Other Canuck acts recently confirmed for the fest include the British Columbians, Cadence Weapon, Les Jupes, Hooded Fang, Rococode, No Means No, Parlovr, the Sadies and Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet.

The festival has also announced its comedy lineup, which includes Todd Barry, Tim Heidecker from Tim & Eric's Awesome Show, Neil Hamburger, Hannibal Burress, Natasha Leggero, and Gavin McInnes. A limited amount of advance tickets for comedy and other select shows go on sale this Saturday (April 7) at 10 a.m. local time at the festival website.

The full lineup and show details are expected to drop May 1.
