Sled Island Adds Mount Kimbie, Mary Timony, Michael Rault to 2018 Lineup

After revealing their initial 2018 lineup early last month, organizers behind Calgary's Sled Island have lifted the curtain on an additional wave of acts set to play this year's festival.

The latest round of additions includes English electronic duo Mount Kimbie, Mary Timony (performing her Mary Timony Plays Helium set), Harrison Brome, Josh Pan, Peach Kelli Pop, Michael Rault, Faith Healer, Jo Passed, B.A. Johnston, myst milano., the Avulsions, Symfan, Hood Joplin, Borscht and Cartel Madras.

 New additions from 2018 guest curators Deerhoof include empath, Prissy Whip and Solid Freex.

Other additions include (in alphabetical order) Alder & Ash, Basic Instinct, Black Pills, Blue Odeur, Body Lens, Bog Bodies, Boyhood, Building Confidence Through Play, Cascades, Counterfeit Jeans, Crims & Flow, Dada Centauri, Discovery Zone, Glaux, ItsJab, Janitor Scum, Jean Daddy, Jock Tears, Jonathan Kawchuk, Le Plaisir, Leather Jacuzzi, Life in Vacuum, Lingua Ignota, Man Meat, Overland, Paradise, Pinact, Possum, Scattered Clouds, Screaming Targets, Sightlines, Sister Ray, SLATES, Text Chunk, the Radiation Flowers, Truster, Valiska, Vase, VICTIME, White Hills, Wish Lash and Woodhawk.

Those acts will join a lineup that already includes Dirty Projectors, Shabazz Palaces, John Maus, Mount Eerie, Grouper, Wye Oak, Cherry Glazerr, Tyondai Braxton, Lido Pimienta and more.

A press release points to additional headliners, 170 more bands, comedy, film, art and special events programming being announced in the coming months. The festival takes place from June 20 to 24 at various venues across Calgary.
