Sled Island Adds De La Soul, Yo La Tengo, Mykki Blanco

Calgary's Sled Island Music and Arts Festival has already given us two lineup announcements, as well as news of its film program. As if that weren't enough, organizers have dropped the remainder of their 2015 lineup on us.

Leading the additions are a handful of "le's" and "la's" as hip-hop trio De La Soul and indie rock trio Yo La Tengo are both added to the bill. They'll be joined by Mykki Blanco, Colleen Green and Dead Soft.

Other acts added to the fest include Maica Mia, Scattered Clouds, Fountain, Beat Cops, Neu Balance, Shooting Guns, Dead Ranch, Tory Lanez, Oseko, Rougies, Look Vibrant, Kappa Chow, Quaker Parents, the Mandates, 36?, Friesen Waters Duo, the Weir, A.Y.E. & the Extraordinary Gentlement and Blü Shorts.

These artists join previously announced acts like Television, Lightning Bolt, Swervedriver, Teengirl Fantasy, Cancer Bats, Obnox, Guantanamo Baywatch, Loscil, Juan Wauters, Sumac, Mammifer, Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, Mdou Moctar, Birdstriking, Duotang, Cousins, Astral Swans, Black Givre, Blonde Elvis, Corinthian, Crosss, the Dories, Dream Whip, Empty Heads, Energy Slime, Faith Healer, Grounders and many others.

As previously reported, Godspeed You! Black Emperor have been enlisted as the festival guest curators this year, and in addition to their own performances, they'll be bringing in artists like Body/Head, the Ex, Matana Roberts, Fred and Toody, Carla Bozulich, Avec le Soleil Sortant de Sa Bouche, Big Brave, and David Dondero.
