Slayer Bring Hell on Earth Across North America with Rob Zombie

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Mar 28, 2011

It's been a bit of a rough year for Slayer, what with guitarist Jeff Hanneman catching the flesh-eating disease and bassist Tom Araya suffering from vertigo due to extreme dehydration , but the longtime thrashers know that the show must go on. As such, Slayer have just announced a North American summer tour.

Dubbed "Hell on Earth," the quick summer trek finds the outfit travelling with equally ooky rocker Rob Zombie. These will be the first dates the acts have played together since Ozzfest 1999 and guess what? They're stoked.

"You can expect no less than 'hell on earth,'" Slayer guitarist Kerry King said in a statement. "Total sonic annihilation and a visual bludgeoning. Bring your own body bag..."

Zombie felt equally arcane about the tour, of which seven of the 12 dates take place in Canada.

"Total destruction on stage and off is what this combination promises," he said. "Seriously, how much more hell could you ask for? The answer is none more hell."

Check out the dates below.
