This week, the one-hit-wonder began pimping burgers at the fast food chain with his ode to ass, "Baby Got Back," which is featured in a new BK ad promoting the SpongeBob SquarePants kids meal.
As most 30somethings will recall, the track once stirred a bit of controversy back in the '90s for its explicit lyrics about women's heinies, and was even briefly banned by MTV. Well, it ain't the '90s any more and now it's apparently perfectly okay to use Sir Mix-a-Lot and big-ass butts to sell hamburgers to children, or as Gawker puts it, teach "obesity and sexuality to your kids." (You know, two birds with one stone and all that.)
But, hey, 99¢ is pretty damn cheap for a kids meal, and like Sir Mix-a-Lot says in the ad, "Booty is booty."
