Simple Minds Plot North American Tour with Stops in Montreal, Toronto

BY Alex HudsonPublished Jul 16, 2013

Glaswegian pop vets Simple Minds don't often make it across the pond, but they are planning a rare North American tour this fall. Luckily for Canadians, the brief trek includes a couple of shows here in our country.

The trip consists of just seven shows in total. In addition to a few U.S. gigs, Simple Minds will play Montreal on October 21 and Toronto the next day. See the full itinerary below.

The tour is dubbed "Greatest Hits+," meaning that fans are pretty much guaranteed to hear the Breakfast Club anthem "(Don't You) Forget About Me." Tickets for the Canadian shows go on sale on Friday (July 19), or a day earlier for members of SimpleMinds.com. Go here for more information.

An announcement from the band reads, "This will mark the band's first performances across the Atlantic for quite a number of years and will be something very special indeed!"

Tour dates:

10/15 Los Angeles, CA - Orpheum
10/17 Redbank, NJ - Count Basie Theatre
10/18 Washington, DC - 9:30 Club
10/20 Boston, MA - Wilbur Theatre
