Sigur Rós frontman Jónsi has announced plans to release new music in the next few weeks.

Posting a visualizer alongside a new synth-driven clip of music to Twitter on April 2, the artist wrote, "I'm releasing new music later this month," and prompted followers to keep an eye on his Spotify and YouTube profiles for updates.

So far, no firm release date, title or any other details have surfaced regarding the new project.

Jónsi's last solo record was 2010's Go. Last year, the artist released Lost & Found with Alex Somers. Earlier in 2019, Jónsi revealed a new project called Dark Morph with Swedish composer Carl Michael von Hausswolff.
