Published May 22, 2012Icelandic post-rock favourites Sigur Rós have revealed a new video for "Ég anda" from their upcoming record Valtari.
The group has enlisted twelve filmmakers to create visuals for the new album's eight tracks on the same "modest budget." With the instructions to "create whatever comes into their head when they listen to songs," Ragnar Kjartansson's is the first video we get to see.
The six-minute clip shows a man in a fancy suit, choking on his fancy dinner, while another dapper gentleman provides written instructions on how to save someone if they're choking -- with special adaptations for infants and pregnant women.
Probably not what popped in to most people's heads as they heard the song for the first time, but an entertaining (and educational!) watch nonetheless.
Valtari is out May 29 via XL Recordings. Check out the video for "Ég anda" below.
