Sick of It All Return with New Full-Length

BY Keith CarmanPublished Jan 27, 2010

It's been four long years since New York hardcore vets Sick of It All released fresh music with 2006's Death to Tyrants. That's actually the longest wait between albums since their formation in 1986. However, the quartet have finally announced the completion of their latest full-length effort.

Recorded way out at Antfarm Studios in århus, Denmark by the likes of Euro metal producer extraordinaire Tue Madsen (Moonspell, the Haunted, Aborted), their ninth studio effort has been dubbed Based on a True Story and will be released by Century Media Records worldwide, with a North American street date set for April 20.

Says drummer Armand Majidi, "We're starting a new chapter in Sick Of It All history by signing a worldwide deal with Century Media for the release of our next album Based On a True Story... The head of the label has been very supportive since we first met him back in the early days and it's great to know that we have someone at the helm who really understands what we're about. We had an inspired recording session and the album sounds great, so we hope it brings hardcore pride back in a big way! See you all real soon."
