We may have just entered the hot, hot month of August, but Sia is already looking way ahead to the festive season. That's right, the singer has revealed plans for a new Christmas album.
The news comes alongside the announcement that she is leaving RCA for Atlantic Records, with her first release at her new label home being the holiday comp. Details are so far slim, but it will be a collection of original yuletide songs written by Sia and producer Greg Kurstin. It will arrive via Monkey Puzzle/Atlantic Records.
"Sia is a once-in-a-generation artist. Her extraordinary gifts as a singer and songwriter, her revolutionary approach to the art of performing, her groundbreaking videos — everything she does comes from a deep wellspring of inspiration and imagination," said Atlantic Records Chairman/CEO Craig Kallman and Atlantic Records Chairman/COO Julie Greenwald in a statement. "Sia is that rare artist who has formed her own singular, boundless musical universe. We are so happy to welcome her into the Atlantic family and to be joining Sia on her amazing musical journey."
In recent months, Sia has been churning out tracks for the big screen, including songs for Wonder Woman, The Eagle Huntress and Lion. Her last album was 2016's This Is Acting.
