Sia

"Big Girls Cry" (Bleachers remix)

Sia's excellent 1000 Forms of Fear continues to remain in the pop culture conversation. After producing many, many music videos, the album's singles have inspired other artists to remix the shit out of it. That trend continues with Bleachers hopping on "Big Girls Cry."

The nom de plume of Fun.'s Jack Antonoff, Bleachers keeps most of the track in tact. Rather than destroy what already works, he's simply beefed up the drums, adding plenty of percussive elements.

Speaking with FADER, who premiered the track, Antonoff said he left her vocals untouched on purpose. "Absolutely no one has a voice like Sia's. Not just her literal voice, which comes from some deep guttural place I can only begin to imagine, but her storytelling voice. She manages to capture this very specific pain, and her images are so unusual and perfect. I just loved working on this."
