Shutter Island, Fish Tank and Defendor Take Us to the Movies in This Week's Film Round-Up
With the weekend resuming, it might be a good idea to pay a visit to the Exclaim! Recently Reviewed motion section to find out what flicks are out in theatres.

The long-anticipated, and Exclaim!-recommended, Martin Scorsese thriller Shutter Island hits theatres today, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Mark Ruffalo and Ben Kingsley. Set in 1954, U.S. Marshals played by DiCaprio and Ruffalo are sent to an island off the Massachusetts coast to investigate the disappearance of a patient from a hospital for the criminally insane. But, of course, something goes awry.

Cannes Film Festival Jury Prize winner, Fish Tank, follows insolent Essex teen Mia (Kate Jarvis). Her life is in shambles: she's been kicked out of school, hates her mother and has violent tendencies. Drama ensues during a fishing trip with her mother's new boyfriend.

Peter Stebbings's Canadian superhero parody Defendor is also out this weekend, starring Woody Harrelson as the dynamic hero. Construction flagger by day, pseudo masked crusader by night, Harrelson tries to rescue citizens from the criminal underworld, regardless of being short of supernatural powers.
