As the sun set on the prairie, Shotgun Jimmie took to the outdoor stage in Clearwater, Manitoba for a set of his trademark slacker-pop-rock that had the crowd moving. Whether the Brandon-based crooner, who was backed up by two-thirds of Winnipeg's Human Music, is singing about his grade nine love interest or community college, Jimmie has a knack for hitting home in all the right places.

Despite the bitter cold, festivalgoers of all ages migrated from the massive bonfires around the festival grounds to the front of the stage during this set to move and groove. Jimmie and the band's unassuming, aw-shucks stage vibe certainly endeared them to the crowd, be they city hipster or off-the-combine farmer. "I love Manitoba," the Maritime transplant said from stage more than once. He was given a hot reception on this cold, rural Manitoba night.
