The folks over at digital music store Zunior.com have released their first film, and fans of Canuck music will be happy to hear that it's about Toronto producer/engineer Dale Morningstar and the Gas Station, his famed indie rock studio.

Dale Morningstar: Sleeping Under the Stars tells the tale of Morningstar, who has recorded, amongst others, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Gord Downie, Julie Doiron and Thrush Hermit. Morningstar was interviewed extensively by Zunior founder Dave Ulrich for the movie, which, according to a press release, "shines a light on one of Canada's greatest underground icons."

The movie features such treats as a never-seen-before look at Morningstar's solar-powered bus on blocks, located way out in the bayous of Niagra's wine country. The film also, of course, shows the viewer the Gas Station itself, located on the Toronto Islands, as well as Toronto's Parkdale region, where Morningstar talks about the origins of the studio and his musical ambitions.

The movie, which is Zunior's first short feature film, is available as a free stream online in three parts:

Part One
Part Two
