Shop Radio Cast Opens Its Own Record Store in Niagara Falls

Following in the footsteps of companies like Light in the Attic and Sub Pop, Shop Radio Cast has revealed it will be opening a boutique retail store of its own in Niagara Falls, ON, this spring.

Official news of the brick-and-mortar SRC location arrived today (January 9), with the company explaining on a new Facebook page  [via Modern Vinyl] that the store should be opening at 5904 Main Street sometime in March.

The online distro/label was founded in Buffalo, NY, and will continue to operate there, in addition to maintaining the Canadian record shop. In response to a Facebook user's question over whether or not this means that SRC will start shipping its wares to Canadian customers from this side of the border, thus cutting down costs, the label responded: "We are not 100% sure about that but it is very possible. It is definitely something we would love to do and will be extensively considering."

Over the years, SRC Vinyl has reissued albums from Jimmy Eat World, Weezer, Quicksand and more, and dabbled into the soundtrack world with new pressings of Clerks and Forrest Gump. A vinyl pressing of The Godfather soundtrack is due through the imprint on February 3.
