Toronto's Sam Chown has made his mark on a range of musical projects, as a member of Zorch, a Flaming Lips collaborator, and under his solo moniker Shmu. Now, the experimental music maker has revealed that he'll taking his music on a brief Canadian tour.
Following a jam-packed week of shows at Austin, TX's South by Southwest, Chown will return north of the border to play a string of shows in southern Ontario and Quebec.
He's on the bill at Toronto's Lee's Palace for Limblifter's record release party on March 27 and will appear in Guelph, ON, the following evening (March 28). Shmu will take the stage at Montreal's Divan Orange on March 30, then head back into Ontario for a show in London on April 1. Finally, he'll wrap up the Canadian gigs by returning to Toronto to play at the Art Gallery of Ontario's First Thursday event on April 2.
