Last fall, Zorch's Sam Chown dropped his latest album as Shmu, releasing the deceptively titled Shhh!!!! Now, the psych-rock experimentalist is set to reveal a brand new version of a tune from that same album, and Exclaim! has got the exclusive first listen.
"I've Got Nothing to Show" has been revamped after Chown decided that he "wasn't happy with the last recording." It's been reworked and the new version is an explosion of psychedelic sound from the get-go. Layers of effect-laden guitar and percussion swirl together with hazy vocals, making for a sonic experience that's trippy, but still has some serious bite to it.
Chown will be bringing Shmu's music to live setting across North American this summer, and you can see the upcoming shows listed below. Beyond that, hit play to get sucked into the spiral of "I've Got Nothing to Show."
