Steve Albini's legendary post-punk act Shellac have been teasing a new LP for a while, confirming the release was on the way earlier this year. Now, they've shared more details from the release.

The album's called Dude, Incredible, and will reportedly feature nine new songs from the band. The record will be released by Touch and Go at some point, though Albini told the Chicagoist [via FACT] not to worry about it too much.

"You know, that sort of stuff doesn't really mean anything anymore," he said of the release date. "The people who buy records are not lining up at the record store on the day of release."

In the same interview, he also spoke about his recent work on Nirvana's In Utero reissue. "I'm just glad that this record is important to the band and that they were able to have it made the way they wanted to," he said. "That's very satisfying to me. It was very gratifying to rekindle a relationship with Dave and Krist and see that our relationship is still intact. We haven't communicated much over the years, but they're still the people that they were then and I'm still the guy that I was then."

Stay tuned for more info on Dude, Incredible as it becomes available.
