Sharon Van Etten Details 'Are We There,' Announces Tour

BY Josiah HughesPublished Feb 25, 2014

Indie songstress Sharon Van Etten has been hinting at the details of her upcoming Are We There LP for some time. Now, she's shared the concrete particulars.

The album's cover, a stark black and white photograph featuring the artist holding her head out of a moving car, is available above. The tracklisting for the release, meanwhile, is available below.

The album was produced with the aid of St. Vincent/Regina Spektor producer Stewart Lerman, but a press release explains that it's entirely Van Etten's project. "Sharon has shared an album not only fully-formed and extravagant in sound but also completely self-produced," it reads. "Her writing also continues to explore personal experience drawing from feelings of emptiness, loss, fear of change, desire, waiting, and self-healing."

Jagjaguwar will issue Are We There on May 27. The album will be followed by an enormous world tour that includes dates throughout North America and Europe. The trek includes three Canadian stops, with shows scheduled in Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton this July.

Check out Are We There's tracklisting below, along with Van Etten's upcoming tour dates and the album's trailer.
