A new Netflix documentary titled Tig is set to examine a year in the life of comedian Tig Notaro following a highly personal set that dealt with, among other things, the death of her mother and a breast cancer diagnosis. The documentary's ending credits are scored by a new song from Sharon Van Etten called "Words," which you can now stream ahead of the film's official release.
Above an old-school drum machine beat and the melancholy hum of an organ, Van Etten cooly coos about stories told, and the impact they make. While at one point she sings about feeling "emotionally dead," the track soon expands into various textures of piano and string work that add a twinge of hope.
"There's no right, there's just words and words," she sings on the hook.

Tig, meanwhile, goes live on Netflix this Friday (July 17).
