Shad and Skratch Bastid have kept up the collaborative spirit of their recent The Spring Up EP by delivering a new version of Kanye West's Yeezus closer, "Bound 2."
The track still glides by triumphantly on the soulful Ponderosa Twins Plus One sample. Instead of Yeezy's bars on birthday parties and sink-sex, though, Shad offers up lovey-dovey tributes to Happy Days and the Cosby Show — "Cliff found Claire and she's down for the Cause, B" — while the track gets fitted with an outro sampling a mellow synth-and-piano passage from Wee's "You can Fly on My Aeroplane" reprise.
