Canadian rap hero Shad won critics over with his Polaris Music Prize-nominated Flying Colours LP last year and is finally set to deliver some fresh material in the form of a new EP.

The Boarding Pass EP sees Shad teaming up once again with longtime collaborator and tourmate DJ T.Lo for a new five-song collection, which is scheduled for arrival on December 1. Ahead of time, though, the pair have delivered the new track "Hang On," which you can listen to below.

"It's pretty straight-forward. Given the 'Hang On' sample, I just knew I wanted to do something uplifting that reflected how I feel about these times," said Shad of the new track in a statement.

T.Lo added, "The beat came together pretty quickly after a visit to Vancouver. As soon as I finished it, I knew it would be perfect for Shad."

The collection sees the duo "flexing the skills they've been enthusiastically developing over nearly a decade of work together," according to the press release, and showcases their shared passion for music.

While a tracklist has yet to surface for the EP, Shad and T.Lo previously shared the release's "Always Winnin'" in the summer.

Shad will be headlining a show at New York's Webster Hall on December 4, with an appearance at Massey Hall in Toronto coming up on March 27.
