Arriving today through Sub Pop, Gangster Star tells the story of sentient being Quazarz over its 11 tracks, sent to "Amurderca" to "chronicle and explore as a musical emissary."
Jealous Machines is described as the "extra-spatial twin" to the former disc, and follows protagonist Quazarz and "his dazzling cohorts rising a collective Nah to the device and the guilds that proliferate them."
Gangster Star features contributions "in body or in spirit" from Julian Casablancas, Thundercat, Gable and Huff, Ahmir, Jon Kirby, Sunny Levine, Blood, Thaddillac, Loud Eyes Lou, the Palaceer Lazaro and Darrius.
