Atom Egoyan's Chloe, a cryptic tale of sexual desire and infidelity, hits the big screen this weekend. The Exotica director maintains controversy with this story of a paranoid doctor (Julianne Moore) who hires call girl Chloe (Amanda Seyfried) to seduce her husband (Liam Neeson) in order to find out if he his adulterous. Yet the business deal turns out to be more than she bargained for.

Ben Stiller is Greenberg in the new film directed by Noah Buambach. After moving to Los Angeles from a New York mental hospital, former rock star Greenberg is at a crossroads in his life and finds himself house-sitting for his more successful brother, where he falls for his assistant.

3D enthusiasts should be animated about the release of How to Train Your Dragon, directed by Dean Deblois and Chris Sanders. The flick follows Hiccup and his Scandinavian dragon, Toothless, on adventures in an ancient mythical world.

Raymond de Felitta's comedy City Island follows a family tangled in a web of lies with one another. Starring Andy Garcia and Juliana Margulies, our reviewer says it was "refreshing to watch a film devoid of grandstanding pretense."

And finally, in Joon Ho-Bong's Korean film Mother, we follow the tale of a widow and her adult live-in son. After being pegged as a suspect in a brutal murder, his mother intervenes to try and prove her son's innocence.
