Published Oct 14, 2015It's been a couple of years since Braille (a.k.a. Praveen Sharma) and Machinedrum (a.k.a. Travis Stewart) released anything as Sepalcure, but the bass duo are back with a new single in tow and a full-length to follow.
First up is Fight for Us, a short release that contains just two songs but is nevertheless being billed as an EP. It will be out on October 30 through Hotflush Recordings.
An announcement from the label describes the two-song set like this: "Built on a solid groove foundation that takes cues from juke's trademark jittery bass, they knit in both organic wood block hits and more synthetic electronic synth textures that are compelling and refreshing, and make for some of the most forward thinking sounds in all of modern day dance. This new release proves that once more."
Below, listen to abridged previews of the Rochelle Jordan-featuring title cut "Fight for Us" and the B-side "Music for All." Both previews are a little less than two minutes in length, with the A-side offering burbling electro-soul and the flip boasting a danceable thump.
Expect this to be followed with a full-length album in April. That will be the outfit's first LP since 2011's self-titled debut.
