Secret Machines To Self-Release New Album

After a recent stint with the majors, Secret Machines are saying goodbye to the label game. The NYC space/psych rock outfit have announced that their third, yet-to-be-titled album will be self-released, with World’s Fair Label Group helping them out here and there along the way.

Secret Machines released both their albums — 2004’s Now Here Is Nowhere and Ten Silver Drops from 2006 — on Reprise, a Warner subsidiary. The band have given no reason as to why they have split with the label, only saying they have been "freed” from Reprise’s clutches and expect their new full-length to drop sometime in the fall of this year.

In the lead-up to the record’s release, the group have also lined up several tour dates, a few of which find them on Canadian soil and playing with, um, Stone Temple Pilots. Here they are:
