Sebastien Grainger + Josh Reichmann = Bad Tits

Clearly, Sebastien Grainger and Josh Reichmann aren't comfortable with releasing music simply under their own names. Grainger was formerly a member of dance punk duo Death From Above 1979, and has since issued one solo album under the name Sebastien Grainger and the Mountains. Similarly, Reichmann was once a member of Tangiers before adopting the solo alias Jewish Legend and, more recently, Josh Reichmann Oracle Band.

Now, the two songwriters have joined to form Bad Tits. According to their MySpace, the band are a "combination friend-party/idea contest," and their influences include the soundtracks to Thirtysomething and The Warriors.

The pair have posted two new tracks to their MySpace. "Reincarnate Yourself" is a raucous, danceable instrumental that finds the common ground between prog and punk. "No Skin," meanwhile, is a murky two-chord vamp with echoed vocals and piercing synths. Although this is the first most fans have heard of the band, the MySpace page reveals that the account was actually started back in May of 2008.

Whether Grainger and Reichmann plan to release their music officially remains to be seen. There's a possible hint, however, in the embedded MySpace player, which lists the two songs under the album title On Strike! and features a small thumbnail of an album cover.
