Seaweed Return with Their First Release in over a Decade

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jun 10, 2011

It's been a long wait for Seaweed fans, but the reunited grunge punkers have finally recorded some new tunes. While the group have been back together since 2007, following a seven-year sabbatical, their last release was 1999's Actions and Indications. Thankfully, the band are getting back on the horse with a recently announced seven-inch single.

The Tacoma, WA-based outfit will deliver two new cuts ("Service Deck" and "The Weight") on the forthcoming vinyl platter, which No Idea will issue on July 4. No samples have been released for the offering, but hopefully it finds the act back in fine, crunchy form.

Still no word on whether the band's proposed Small Engine Repair is close to being finished, but here's hoping the single is a sign of things to come.

Thanks to Punknews for the tip.
